Happy Royal Wedding Day!
Its nice to know that sometimes fairy tales really do come true...
Here are a few photos I took around the city today after watching the wedding when the crowds had thinned out a bit:
Bunting for a neighbourhood street party
Left over confetti on the lawns of Hyde Park
A shop display window on Oxford Street
Flags on Regent's street

Refurbishing the last set of shutters
All I can say is thank goodness there are only 3 sets of shutters in this flat and that the rear windows dont have them! Im on the last 4 panels now. I have completed their initial wood filler and sanding treatment, (both sides) their base coat (both sides), and their touch up wood filler and sanding (one side). Sounds a bit like getting a facial with all those steps. Just 2 more coats to go and they can be installed.

Toilet Room Colour Option 3 - Orange Ceiling
The internet is amazing - if you have an idea you can be sure someone somewhere has tried it before and posted photos of their results online. I thought about having white walls and paiting the ceiling orange as something a little unexpected, and sure enough a quick google search revealed what it could look like.
Im leaning towards this or the dark grey at the moment.

Toilet Room Colour Option 1 - Hague Blue
The way I see it is that our tiny toilet room is an opportunity to do something a bit darker or more 'controversial' with the wall colours. There is no point in paiting the room white or a light colours as there will be no fooling that it is a small space.
So, for the next few days Im going to post some of the colour schemes that we have been considering. Here is one idea for a very dark rich blue.
