Chilly morning

As a slight change of scenery from my flat; here are some photos of the lovely Georgian windows at Alex's. Single glazed windows aren't the most thermally efficient, but they sure do look pretty when the sun shines through them on a chilly morning when the warmth from inside has condensed on the panes.

The Red House

On the weekend we had a nice break from the renovations and did a little sight-seeing with Flo's parents who were visiting. Having just spent 2 months restoring our windows, we were of course paying particular attention to the windows in Philip Webb's Red House, designed for William Morris in 1859, probably around the same time our windows were installed!
