TV commercial being filmed on my street!
I received this flyer last night letting neighbours know that a film crew will be filming a television commercial in the house just a few doors down. Im not sure which one, but when I find out I'll be sure to post a link to the finished product! Cool.

Toilet Pull
The new ceramic toilet pull arrived in the post... here it is installed, the pipe from the high level cistern to the toilet is at left.
We decided not to replace the toilet with a contemporary close coupled toilet in the WC to save on cost, and also because I actually like it in a quirky sort of way. Georgian properties did not have internal toilets, so there wasnt a historic precedent to match a new one to either.

Skirting & Rubber Floor
I wanted to wait until I had touched up the skirting paint before posting an image of the new rubber flooring - but here it is at last! I got the flooring for free over a year ago (it's normally about £55/m2) as it was left over from one of my projects at work. After all that time sitting in the hall cupboard downstairs it was great to finally have it installed during the DIY exchange 2 weeks ago.

Toilet Room Window - Exterior Side
Two weekends ago I finished painting the interior side of the toilet room window, so this weekend I worked on the exterior face. I was very tempted not to bother (as you cant see that side), but common sense reminded me that the flaking paint would only let in water over time. Luckily, as the window was small and its profile flat, I was able to finish the job in just one industrious Saturday afternoon. On Sunday I applied the second coat as the Dulux weathershield oil paint takes 24 hours to dry.
