Flo's Workshop

Progress for the bedroom has been slow as the hallway is taking much longer than expected. Its the smallest space in the flat, but I think the 5 doors explain the slow pace. Either that, or the fact that Flo enjoys having one room to himself to use as his own personal workshop! Hmmmm...

  1. It would appear as though you are stripping your doors down to the original wood. I am so impressed. And I must know what your process is and if you are terrified of lead poisoning from the paint. Nice work you two!!

  2. We actually had the doors stripped for us by a specialist stripping company. Probably not the most sustainable option, but at £10 a door it was well worth it as it saved us hours of time!

As for the paint on the door frames we are using a heat gun to remove it, so we arent breathing in tiny dust particles of lead that would result from sanding it off as the paint all just peels off and lands in big chunks on the floor. Its much better than using toxic liquid chemicals and having a goopey mess to clean up.

Plus we keep the windows open!
