I have decided to paint the new skirting boards in the WC dark grey to match the walls. I feel they can be treated differently as they are not original and there are no crown mouldings or window architraves in the WC to match them to. The skirting boards which I took out were mis-matched in height and covered in layers of uneven gooped up paint so as they werent the original Georgian ones I decided it would be easier to replace them with the simple ones you see above.

Dark Grey Skirting for the WC
